Alto Tunnel Reboot

Join us on Saturday, April 8th at 1 p.m. for the Alto Tunnel Reboot meeting.

Reopening the Alto Tunnel, the shuttered railroad line between Mill Valley and Corte Madera, for bike and pedestrian travel would be the single most transformative project in Marin. It would create a safe, level, ADA-compliant route between Central and Southern Marin while removing thousands of cars from the road, and leaving a legacy for generations to come. 

We will be discussing the history of the project, what still needs to be done, and ways you can get involved. We will be serving a pizza lunch and light refreshments. Brought to you by the Friends of Alto Tunnel and the Marin County Bicycle Coalition.

When: Saturday, April 8th from 1 – 3 PM

Where: Assembly, 319 Miller Avenue, Mill Valley

What to expect: The program will include a brief screening of Closing the Gap, a Q&A by Friends of Alto Tunnel, and a social hour to meet other supporters. We’ll have pizza, non-alcoholic beverages, and snacks. 

How to get there: We will have bicycle parking either in front or behind the building. There is limited car parking in the lot behind the building, so people should plan to park on the street.
