The Marin Ride of Silence 2025 will take place Saturday, May 24, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., cycling from Piper Park – 250 Doherty Drive in Larkspur to downtown San Anselmo and back.
The annual Ride of Silence will remember cyclists killed or injured in Marin. Marin Ride of Silence will honor those whose lives have been taken while riding a bicycle. Before heading out at 10:30 a.m., there will be a brief ceremony to remember those killed biking in Marin, as well as Sylvia Bingham, daughter of ride organizers Steve Bingham and Francoise Blusseau.
There will be a short route of 10.6 miles from Piper Park to San Anselmo and back. Marin Cyclists will continue from San Anselmo, stopping at memorials for cyclists killed in San Rafael, Fairfax, Woodacre, and Lucas Valley Road to honor their memories. We will ride silently at a social pace, staying in a group.
The Ride of Silence is both a remembrance and a call to drivers and policymakers to do more to make cycling safe. The Marin Ride of Silence supports Vision Zero https://visionzeronetwork.org/, which is not yet an official policy in Marin County.
