Ride with Us! Join us for a group ride over the Richmond – San Rafael Bridge on Wednesday, July 7 at 5:30 p.m.
Start: SMART San Rafael Station
Distance: 15.5 miles
Time: Approximately 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
This medium-paced, moderate difficulty ride will start at the SMART San Rafael Station. Cruise along a combination of bike path and bike lane as we leave downtown. We’ll go up and over the Richmond – San Rafael Bridge along bike/walk pathway. Afterwards, we’ll return over the bridge back to the SMART station. The ride will be led by by instructors certified by the League of American Bicyclists, and is made possible by funding from the Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC). The official MTC ride will end once we return to the SMART San Rafael Station, but the fun will continue!
After the ride, MCBC ride leaders will stop for dinner at Tam Commons in downtown San Rafael. Everyone is welcome to join the post-ride social (please note this is not part of the official MTC event). Please bring a bike lock, bike lights, and money for dinner if you plan on sticking around after the ride.
All adults are welcome to participate. And, any youth under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Riders must wear a helmet and sign a liability waiver in order to participate. Don’t forget your bicycle lights, as the ride will be ending right around sunset.
