Join us for a group ride over the Richmond – San Rafael Bridge on Sunday, March 19 at 9 a.m.
Start: SMART Larkspur Station
Distance: 21.6 miles (can also be shortened to 18 miles)
Route: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/38313098
Time: Approximately 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
This medium-paced, moderate difficulty ride will start at the SMART Larkspur Station. We’ll cruise along/through the Cal Park Hill pathway and tunnel, go up and over the RSR Bridge via the bridge’s bike/walk path, explore Point Richmond, and then return the same way back to the SMART Larkspur Station. The ride is led by instructors certified by the League of American Bicyclists and is made possible by funding from the Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC). The official MTC ride will end once we return to the SMART Larkspur Station, but the fun will continue!
After the ride, MCBC ride leaders will stop for lunch at the Marin Country Mart in Larkspur. Everyone is welcome to join us post-ride (please note this is not part of the official MTC event). Please bring a bike lock and money for lunch if you plan to stick around after the ride.
All adults are welcome to participate, and any youth under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. All riders must wear a helmet and sign a liability waiver from both MCBC and MTC. Please arrive with a working bicycle in order to participate.
There is parking available at the Larkspur SMART Station for $2/day. Follow this Google Pin to get there (it’s the lot next to the platform, above the parking for the ferry).
