August Is “Make A Will” Month

Create a Legacy That Moves Marin Forward and Let Us Know About It

August is National Make-A-Will Month, a timely reminder that planning for the future is one of the most meaningful gifts you can give your loved ones and your community.

At MCBC, we believe in creating a safer, more connected Marin through cycling. Including a legacy gift to MCBC in your estate plan is a powerful way to champion the values you care about – sustainability, community, and joyful movement – well into the future.

Whether you’re 28 or 88, having an up-to-date will is essential. Yet nearly 67% of American adults don’t have one, often leaving families with confusion, costly delays, and painful uncertainty.

Make-A-Will Month is your opportunity to take that important first step. It doesn’t have to be complicated, and it can be a deeply rewarding process. We’re here to help if you have questions about including MCBC in your plans.

“As an avid bike riding family passionate about all things bike related, we have been proud members of the Marin County Bicycle Coalition (MCBC) for over 15 years. It has proven to be the most meaningful and impactful membership we maintain, as its values and goals closely align with our own. We deeply appreciate the work MCBC does in promoting bicycle safety, advancing advocacy efforts, and fostering a more sustainable community. From the moment we learned about their mission, we have been unwavering in our support.

As part of our long-term commitment to this incredible organization, we have decided to include MCBC in our will. By doing so, we hope to continue supporting their vital work even after our passing, ensuring that their mission to make Marin County a safer and more bike-friendly place endures for generations to come.”

Everyone has a story, and we love hearing how bikes have changed your life, whether it’s the joy of a daily ride, a newfound connection to community, or an epic cross-country adventure. This August, we’ll be spotlighting a member of the MCBC community who chose to make cycling part of their legacy. Stay tuned!
