Off-Road Update Bike Parking at Indian Beach

Next time you ride in West Marin, take advantage of bike parking at Indian Beach in Tomales Bay State Park. Read on to learn how we worked with California State Parks to allow bikes to ride the fire road to Indian Beach.

After noticing that a fire road down to Indian Beach had been signed “No Bikes,” MCBC worked with California State Parks to determine the reason for the restriction. Bikes are not allowed on the beach or nearby trails, so once we helped facilitate signage and a clear place to leave your bike, the “No Bikes” sign came down.

This is a small but meaningful step in improving access and connectivity throughout West Marin and ties into the framework we helped set in 2020 when we advocated for improved accessibility throughout Tomales Bay and Point Reyes. With your support, we will continue to push for opportunities that increase access, improve signage, and allow bike parking in more places around Marin.

We’re working to make Marin’s trails and pathways more bike-friendly for people of all ages and abilities. Are you with us?
