News Introducing MCBC’s Next Executive Director, Tarrell Kullaway
Marin Native Brings Wealth of Non-Profit Experience, Passion for Bicycling
June 18, 2019, Fairfax, CA – Marin County Bicycle Coalition (MCBC) is pleased to announce and welcome Tarrell Kullaway as our new Executive Director, effective July 1, 2019. Ms. Kullaway becomes the fourth person in the organization’s 21-year history to lead efforts toward making bicycling safe, fun, and accessible in Marin County.
Ms. Kullaway comes to MCBC with 25 years of non-profit experience, including seven spent as Senior Director of Development for Cascade Bicycle Club, the nation’s largest statewide bicycle organization. While at Cascade, she grew total annual fundraising income by over 500 percent, enabling the construction of a new headquarters and community gathering space, as well as a “bicycle playground” for inner city youth.
“The MCBC Board is excited to have someone with Tarrell’s experience assume leadership,” said Steve Giondomenica, Board President. “From a large group of candidates, Tarrell’s experience and success, Marin heritage, love for cycling, and a huge passion and confidence for what she does made the decision an easy one.”
“The thought of returning home with 25 years of experience under my belt, promoting something that brings me such joy, in a place that I love, sounds about as close to a dream job as I can imagine,” said Ms. Kullaway.
“MCBC wishes to thank outgoing Executive Director Jim Elias for five wonderful years of leadership,” said Giondomenica. “Marin is a better place for people on bikes, and MCBC could not be better-positioned for our next chapter, thanks to his guidance.”
