news Marin Bike Donation Pickup Saturday 6/11

kidsworkingWaterside Workshops, a nonprofit youth-serving organization in Berkeley will be coming over the bridge on Saturday, June 11 with their “Bike Donation Pick-up Day” for residents of Marin County.

They provide job-training and wrap around services for some of the Bay Area’s most at-risk youth through two programs, Street Level Cycles and Berkeley Boathouse.

Before the Pick-up Day, anyone interested in donating bicycles should call 510-644-2577 to schedule a pick-up from their home or business. Even if you don’t have anything to donate, please spread the word to riding partners and other bike clubs and cycling organizations to get the word out to the community.

Since over 80% of the youth we serve are low-income, community support is essential to keep these programs free for those in need.
