Cory's Ride in Action in Our Community Cory’s Ride Fall 2024 Update

Cory’s Ride is back in action this fall with some exciting updates!

Kids learning about bikes

We continue our weekly after-school rides at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Academy in Sausalito/Marin City. Every Wednesday, we invite 6th through 8th-grade students for an afternoon filled with cycling, learning, and fun. Our rides focus on teaching bike safety skills, building confidence, and exploring the local community while forging new friendships. And don’t forget to keep an eye out for us on the Mill Valley-Sausalito bike path on Wednesday afternoons. Our team will ride through, so give us a wave or stop to chat—we’d love to say hello!

We’re also excited to continue our established programs at Novato and San Rafael High Schools. This fall, we’ll recruit new students to join these programs, welcoming everyone from seasoned cyclists to those just discovering the joy of biking. As we grow our cycling community, we aim to encourage healthy habits and inspire a lifelong love for riding, making every participant and supporter a part of a larger movement.

We’re thrilled to introduce two new student interns joining our Cory’s Ride team: Milagros Cruz, a junior at San Rafael High, and Mercedes Garcia, a senior at Novato High. They’ll play a crucial role in promoting cycling advocacy, supporting our efforts in student recruitment, and helping build a vibrant and inclusive student culture within the program. Their enthusiasm and fresh perspectives will surely add a spark to everything we do this season.

Keep your eyes peeled for more exciting updates, and let’s gear up for an incredible season ahead!
