MCBC Membership & Volunteer Alert Get Ready for Spring Rides – Checklist
Checklist for Spring:
While many who read this bulletin are current MCBC members, there are a few of you who have not yet joined, let your membership lapse, or are wondering how you can do a little more to promote safe bicycling for everyday transportation and recreation.
Extra Credit: Get a few of your riding partners to make sure they are current, too!
Not yet a member?
Join an amazing group of people with a common goal – to expand our bicycle network and continue to make riding safer in Marin County. The collective is stronger than the individual and being a part of MCBC is a great way to support cycling in Marin County. As a member, your voice is represented when MCBC advocates for more funding, stronger policies, and better laws to protect vulnerable road users. You also support education programs for kids and adults covering safe biking skills, legal advice, and commuting tips.
Already a member, but not sure if your membership is current?
Email Jess Willard the Membership and Volunteer Coordinator to find out.
Already a member and want to do more?
Ask Jess Willard to be included on our Volunteer Roster or sign up online here. If you volunteer at an MCBC event, you will receive a free t-shirt, lots of smiles from event goers, and there could be free beer (those 21 and older) involved. Most of all, you will walk away feeling great knowing you have supported your community.
Get Involved & Have a Great Time
Most members take part in at least one of the MCBC Signature Events – many show up at each one! Bike to Work Day, MCBC Dirt Fondo, The Jensie Gran Fondo of Marin and Biketoberfest Marin remain our best-attended, hallmark events. But, in between, we’re putting on rides, showing up to care for our trails and be an active part of public meetings that impact cycling and access. You can find out about them by visiting the MCBC Calendar, or by making sure you have subscribed to the MCBC Bulletin.
