Join the Amazing MCBC Volunteers! Help Cover Volunteer Shifts at Marin Century & Dirt Fondo in August
Every rider agrees – there’s nothing like the enthusiastic support from our amazing MCBC Volunteers! When its down to the last few miles or that final climb to the finish of a ride, the warm support from rest stops and energizer stations make all the difference. We’re looking for volunteers at the two biggest Marin county cycling events this August – the Marin Century and MCBC Dirt Fondo.
Only through volunteer efforts can we pull off events like these. If you haven’t registered for the ride, this is a wonderful opportunity to give back to your cycling community and cheer on the participants! Sign up below.
Marin Century: Saturday August 4
Everyone stops in Nicasio! We need volunteers at the MCBC-staffed Nicasio Rest Stop throughout the day during this Marin Cyclist-organized event on Saturday, August 4. Our smiling crews will be providing hydration and snacks for over 1,500 cyclists throughout the day. Shifts will run 3-4 hours in the morning, afternoon, and evening. There will be music, laughs, and plenty of bicycling cheer! (And it’s always the best rest stop of the day!)
Volunteers will receive a Marin Century t-shirt, drinks and snacks, and lots of pats on the back.

Dirt Fondo 2018: Saturday August 18
This annual MCBC off-road ride will be a day of epic mountain biking, BBQ, and beautiful views of Mt Tam and beyond on Saturday, August 18. We need volunteers to help with course marking, ride support, handing out food and drink at strategic energizer stations on the route, and helping set up and serve the BBQ feast.
Volunteers will receive food and beverages, a Dirt Fondo 2018 t-shirt, and be an integral part in helping put on one of the most fun and friendly mountain biking events of the summer.
