news Mountain Bike Hall of Fame Nomination Period Now Open

Do you know someone whose off-road efforts, achievements or leadership should be recognized? You can forward their name for possible inclusion in the class of 2017 Mountain Bike Hall of Fame Inductees! Nomination season is open now through April 15.

This is your chance to submit nominations – a special window each year when the Hall of Fame Nominating Committee actually stops riding for a few hours to pay attention and turn on their giant super computer (though we’ve heard rumors that it runs off of pedal power…) Don’t miss out—get those nominations in today!

Who would you like to see in the Mountain Bike Hall of Fame?

Today through April 15 is your chance to nominate a deserving figure of the mountain bike world who has made a lasting impact nationally or internationally and whose contributions are impactful now and in years to come to be honored as an inductee into Mountain Bike Hall of Fame.

Following the charter year induction of 10 individuals in 1988, three to seven individuals or groups have received the honors each year.

Here’s a video with Hall of Fame Vice President Otis Guy explaining how the nomination process works.
