Trailwork 2017 Give Back at These Off-Road Trail Stewardship Opportunities

MCBC is partnering with Marin County Open Space, GGNRA, China Camp and Point Reyes National Seashore on a number of stewardship efforts this spring and summer. Come demonstrate cyclists’ commitment to trails and the environment at one or more of these upcoming events and share with your friends, neighbors and co-workers!

BROOM PULL ON BOB MIDDAGH TRAIL – Saturday, June 3

We will be removing French Broom and other invasive plants from the Bob Middagh Trail corridor. It is part of an effort to work together to assure a safe and sustainable conversion of the Bob Middagh Trail from hiker/equestrian to multi-use.

DIAS RIDGE TRAIL DAY  – Saturday, June 10

Join us on Saturday, June 10 as we cut back the overgrown brush on the trail, removal temporary fencing and apply fill to low spots and ruts.

WHERE: Meet at the top of the trail on Panoramic Highway.

CHINA CAMP TRAIL DAY – Saturday, June 24

Join us as we start the rebuilding of the major slide on Shoreline Trail. We’ll prepare the ground for the installation of Gabions, stage head stone, stage gravel, build Gabion boxes, and fill the boxes with stone and gravel.

OLEMA VALLEY TRAIL DAY – Saturday July 22

Olema Valley Trail is one of the few multi-use trails in the Point Reyes National Seashore and it’s been neglected for too long! MCBC has agreed to adopt the trail, with a commitment to organize multiple trail days each year.
