Class of 2016 Inductees Sought Mountain Bike Hall of Fame Nominations Needed

The Mountain Bike Hall of Fame has opened nominations for the class of 2016, and will be accepting submissions until Midnight April 15, 2016.

Who do you nominate?
An individual (or specific individuals within a group) whose activities in mountain biking have made a significant contribution to the sport, having lasting influence on a national and/or international level. The MBHOF strives to ensure that inductees reflect the diversity of regions and activities in our global and constantly evolving sport.

How do you submit a candidate?

It’s easy, simple and free – just head over the MMBOF site and fill out the nomination form.

The Mountain Bike Hall of Fame’s mission is to preserve and share the stories and contributions of those who have helped shape the sport. You can be a part of that heritage by letting them know your favorites.

After the close of nominations on April 15, the MBHOF Nominating Committee will carefully consider all candidates, and announce a ballot with qualified candidates.  When those nominees are made public, voting for will run from June 15 through July 15, 2016.

Then on  August 1, the Marin Museum of Bicycling will announce the 2016 inductees into the Mountain Bike Hall of Fame. Yes, there will be a party!

“You’re busy this weekend…!”
Because, you won’t want to miss this: For the first time, the Mountain Bike Hall of Fame induction Weekend Ceremony and Festivities will be at the Marin Museum of Bicycling and Mountain Bike Hall of Fame headquarters in Fairfax on September 30 and October 1, 2016.  Make plans now so you don’t miss anything!

Events will begin Friday evening, September 30 at the Marin Museum of Bicycling/Mountain Bike Hall of Fame. On Saturday, October 1, legends of the sport will lead mountain bike rides for a variety of skill levels. The induction ceremony and dinner will be held that evening. So get that on your calendar now!
