news STAFFORD LAKE BIKE PARK TO OPEN IN AUGUST!

Great news on the Stafford Lake Bike Park. Construction has resumed on Phase I, with a goal to open the park in August 2015. Right now the Marin County Parks trail crew is working on the progressive line and dual slalom course with IMBA Trail Solutions consulting.

Volunteers will be needed in the next few months to help build two pump tracks. Watch the Friends of Stafford Lake Bike Park website for details.

We’d like to extend our sincere appreciation to the “Friends” for their robust fundraising efforts. They recently added $115,000 to the pot, which will help get the park open this year. Check out this recent Marin IJ article on their fundraising efforts.
