Riders rolled out on Saturday morning for the 2025 MCBC Dirt Fondo, an unforgettable day of riding, community, and reflection across the scenic trails of Marin. Riders chose between 24-, 32-, and 45-mile route options, all of which featured epic views, challenging climbs, and fast, flowing descents through some of Marin’s most iconic open spaces.
Riders on the 45-mile course faced more than 6,000 feet of climbing, with expansive views stretching from the Bay to the Pacific. All routes were fully supported with stocked rest stops and on-course mechanical help, allowing riders to focus on the ride, the community, and the cause.
At the finish line, riders were welcomed back with cold drinks, sandwiches, and well-earned high-fives. Conversations lingered over shared efforts and new friendships.
Funds raised from this year’s Dirt Fondo will support MCBC’s off-road program, helping expand and maintain Marin’s trail network, create safe connections for riders of all ages and abilities, and advocate for policies that prioritize access, conservation, and sustainability.
This year’s event was held in memory of Chris Brignetti, a beloved coach, mentor, and friend who was tragically killed while biking in Terra Linda earlier this summer. His deep connection to the mountain biking community was evident in the energy and camaraderie that carried through every mile of the ride.
MCBC extends a huge thank you to the volunteers, sponsors, and riders who made this year’s Dirt Fondo a true celebration of Marin’s off-road cycling community and a powerful tribute to a life lost too soon. We ride for Chris. We ride for safer streets. And we ride for the joy and freedom that brought us all here.
Save the Date!
