Benefits of the Project

This project will connect several existing bikeway and pathway projects in the middle of Downtown San Rafael. These are the Lincoln Hill pathway north of Mission Avenue, the SMART pathway south of 2nd Street, and the Grand Avenue bikeway ending on 4th Street. This project brings riders from all directions to Downtown San Rafael where they can access goods and services, as well as the SMART train or bus service at the San Rafael Transit Center.

What You Can Do

No action needed at present. When public meetings take place, there will be a need to support the planned parking removal on 4th St. and Tamalpais Ave.
