Marin offers few spaces for safe, dedicated bike skills development. Pump tracks or bicycle playgrounds are places that allow riders of all ages to learn to ride, expand their skills, recreate and play in a designated site that also promotes community.
Community-driven bike park projects provide safe, well-designed, and environmentally responsible spaces for youth and families to ride. There’s a real need for accessible, skill-building riding spaces that promote youth engagement, outdoor recreation, and stewardship while minimizing unintended impacts.
We are working with the Mill Valley Parks and Recreation Commission and the Mill Valley Pump Track Alliance to support their 2026/2027 Priority Project which aims to investigate and evaluate potential sites for a sanctioned bike amenity in the city. Join our Off Road Advocacy list to stay up to date on this effort.
