Mill Valley-Sausalito Path Bothin Marsh Realignment

Protecting the pathway from sea level rise

Key Facts

Type: Class 1 multiuse path
Location: Coyote Creek (near Holiday Inn Express) to Almonte Park & Ride
Managing Agency: Marin County Parks
Cost: TBD
Funding: $670k for design (OBAG 3)
Status: In Design
Project Update: Project is funded for 65% design, but has significant outstanding funding needs.

Benefits of the Project

Currently, the Mill Valley-Sausalito Path is increasingly flooded during king tides. This will worsen with the projected sea level rise. This project will maintain the bicycle-pedestrian path by ringing the marsh, improving access to Tam Junction and along Almonte Boulevard.
