Throughout Marin county and the greater bay area, businesses, organizations and individuals continue to recognize the key role that a person on a bicycle can play in improving our community. As a small “thank-you” for their enthusiasm for MCBC efforts, we will be highlighting a variety of key sponsors that play an integral role in supporting the MCBC Experience…

Bay Area Bike LawAbout Bay Area Bicycle Law

Bay Area Bicycle Law is a collective of attorneys and staff members who have made a commitment to exclusively specialize in bicycle crash cases. We believe that by specializing in this one type of case, we can provide the best representation to our injured colleagues in the cycling community. Since bicycle crashes present unique legal issues (such as technical insurance rules, more severe injuries, traffic rules, and issues involving latent anti-cyclist bias) that often make them largely or completely different from conventional auto crashes or other types of injuries, our collective expertise in bicycle cases is essential in achieving the best outcome possible.

Active Members of the Bicycling Community

Additionally, outside of the courtroom, our team regularly participates in bike coalition sponsored events, teaching community members about bicycle laws and safety, and learning from cyclists about the challenges they face on the roadways and how to best situate our work to fit the community’s needs. Recognizing the broader benefits of bicycling on air quality, climate change, and public health, we are very proud to support bicyclists by representing or simply offering free advice to those who have been injured in a crash, and advocating for legislative changes that make streets safer for cyclists.

Helping Cyclists Prepare

Most of us don’t think much about a bicycle crash until it happens to us, but being prepared for how to respond to a bicycle crash is important. Our website provides detailed advice about what to do in the moments, days, and weeks following a crash – reading through this information now will help you to avoid pitfalls following a collision.

Please feel free to contact us anytime for information and please check out and share our website with others in your community: BayAreaBicycleLaw.com

If you are involved in an accident while riding your bicycle please use the Bay Area Bicycle Law “Post Crash Checklist.”
