Throughout Marin County and the greater Bay Area, businesses, organizations and individuals continue to recognize the key role that a person on a bicycle can play in improving our community. As a small “thank-you” for their enthusiasm for MCBC efforts, we will be highlighting a variety of key sponsors that play an integral role in supporting the MCBC Experience…
It may seem odd: a car dealership obsessed with cycling. Yet that is exactly what we are. As counterintuitive as it may be, we believe the love of getting in your 4-wheeled transportation is only paralleled by getting on your 2-wheeled one.
MINI of Marin was blessed with customers who love their bikes as much as they love our cars. This was a pleasant surprise for our General Manager Joe Thomer, who can most likely be found cycling on his days off. Realizing that bikes and MINIs go hand in hand, MINI of Marin has made it a mission to be involved in the bicycling community at every opportunity.
You may have seen us around at some of Marin’s most beloved cycling events. We enjoyed being the official pace car at the San Rafael Twilight Criterium, following the cyclists at Tour de Marin in the bulldog shuttle, setting up shop at Biketoberfest, hosting MCBC bike workshops and being a contributing sponsor for MCBC since our opening.
We also partner with City Cycle in Corte Madera to promote their weekend rides and share in their fellowship. We especially love showing off that all of our MINIs are able to take your number one passion along for the ride. Being in a small car does not mean you have to compromise: we can fit bikes through rear rack or roof rack options accessory options, all ordered and installed on site at our dealership.
We look forward to our ongoing support of MCBC and the cycling community as a hub for blending passions of riding and driving. You may even catch the MOM staff doing the same things you love around town: Todd hitting the mountain trials, Lindsay cruising through the Cal Park tunnel to run errands, Mark going back and forth between his road and mountain bike and Joe of course, hitting the pavement hard.
