With three scenic routes, a challenging amount of climbing and a tasty ride-ending BBQ, MCBC relied on its network of volunteers to successfully pull off the 2017 Dirt Fondo – Here are the folks who made it happen!
We’re counting down the days until the 6th Annual MCBC Dirt Fondo, an all-day mountain bike ride on Sunday, August 27. It’s getting down to the wire and the ride is filling fast!
Mother Nature did not disappoint! When over 100 riders began to head out from Fairfax on the 2017 Solstice Fondo event, temperatures were already in the low 80’s. The longest loop had over 39 miles and 7,000 feet of elevation.
Once again, our 2017 Solstice Fondo volunteers rocked it! From setting up at 6:00 AM, keeping spirits high and riders on track as Course Marshals and help at the post-ride BBQ, our volunteers made this event memorable.

It takes hard work to create the Solstice Fondo and Dirt Fondo events. We depend upon the efforts of our amazing MCBC Volunteers – a great way you can support your fellow riders on the course and help MCBC efforts to expand off-road access.
