MCBC advocates for and tracks various trails and off-road projects and initiatives including bike-related construction, renovation, and development around Marin and the greater San Francisco Bay Area that impacts Marin bicyclists.
Dias Ridge Trail Phase II and III will give bicyclists a safe alternative to Highway 1. It will reduce the number of bikes traveling through the Muir Beach community and closes a multi-use gap in the Bay Area Ridge Trail.
Sorich Park Trail improvements to allow bikes have been approved in San Anselmo and will connect to Marin Open Space and San Rafael. This project is now with Marin County Parks for next steps.
Easy Grade Trail, part of MCBC’s 3 Gaps initiative, would link Pantoll to Mountain Theater for safer multi-use access, closing a key gap in a bike-legal, natural surface, car-free route from the Golden Gate to Point Reyes.

Originally proposed by MCBC and Friends of Corte Madera Creek Watershed in 2016, this project will install two recreational bridges over San Anselmo Creek in Cascade Canyon.
