How does your business benefit from bicyclists?

At RCU we believe in promoting good health and an active lifestyle for the whole family. We love that the Marin County Bicycle Coalition (MCBC) helps children and adults learn to ride safely on the road and navigate the streets, creating courteous and confident riders.

What should bicycle riders know about your business?

At Redwood Credit Union our mission is to passionately serve the best interests of our Members and help put you on the financial path to pursue your goals and dreams. We want to help you afford the bike you want to reduce your environmental impact and save money on gas, car maintenance, and parking fees.

We offer bike loans with amounts up to $20,000. Please visit our website to see the most current rates and terms.

RCU is committed to a sustainable future and to improving the social, economic, and environmental well-being of the community. We also like to help people pursue activities they love, and we know the members of MCBC are passionate about bicycling while inspiring new cyclists and making it safer for everyone. We’re excited to be working with MCBC and would like Marin County residents to know more about RCU and our commitment to the local community.

What is the most exciting aspect of your operation that you want people to know about?

Redwood Credit Union is a full-service financial institution, founded in 1950. We provide banking and other financial services to consumers and businesses in the North Bay and San Francisco. Our mission is to passionately serve the best interests of our Members, team members, and communities. We offer many ways for our Members to save and build money through checking and savings accounts, bicycle, auto and home loans, credit cards, digital banking, business services, commercial and SBA lending, and more. Wealth management and investment services are available through CUSO Financial Services L.P., and insurance and auto-purchasing services are also offered through RCU Services Group (RCU’s wholly-owned subsidiary). RCU has more than $8 billion in assets and serves more than 450,000 members with full-service branches from San Francisco to Ukiah. Please visit us at RedwoodCU.org.

Are there any last words or final thoughts that you would like to share?

Redwood Credit Union was founded on the philosophy of “people helping people” and offers a range of benefits that extend far beyond traditional banking services to help you pursue your financial dreams and goals with confidence and peace of mind. Newsweek has included RCU in its list of “America’s Best Credit Unions,” and we were recently named one of the most innovative credit unions in America by Cardrates.com. In the past year, RCU has been honored as the healthiest Credit Union in California and the sixth healthiest nationally, a testament to our dedication to sound financial practices and Member satisfaction.

We are deeply rooted in the communities we serve, and we strive to connect with them in many ways, including our Day of Impact last fall when 850 RCU team members came together to build 418 bikes, then donated them to children in the area who may not have otherwise had means to get a bike.
