Join us for an Azalea Hill Restoration Day on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at 8:30 a.m. Come volunteer AND get a sneak peek of the Liberty Gulch Trail and its progress. Volunteers needed for maintenance on Liberty Gulch Trail on White Hill. Help care for the trails you love!
Trail work will entail the removal of small-diameter Douglas-fir trees along the multi-use segment of the project. The District is currently working on constructing a retaining wall at Bolinas Fairfax Rd., building several bridges, and improving stream crossings along the trail corridor. Over the years Douglas-fir tree encroachment has overgrown the old ranching road and pruning is needed to open up the trail corridor to make it safe and enjoyable for multi-use access. The removal of Douglas-fir trees also helps to restore oak woodland and grassland habitat within the project area.
Lunch will be provided. This event is eligible for NICA Trail Corps and community service hours.
