SIGN UP FOR THE TEENS E-BIKE SMART CLASS on Saturday, October 28.
Teens E-Bike Smart Classes are for any students (grades 6-12) who want to learn more about e-bike-specific safety, including rules of the road, bike handling, and emergency maneuvers. Each class begins with skills practice under the supervision of qualified MCBC instructors before going on a group ride on surrounding roads and/or multi-use pathways. This allows students plenty of time to practice their skills and gain confidence in real-world conditions.
If you received a citation from Mill Valley Police, please indicate the student’s full name and citation number on the registration form so we can confirm class completion with MVPD.
E-bikes offer an efficient and fun way to get around town while promoting an active lifestyle and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. The dramatic increase in e-bike use in Marin has also led to some growing pains, particularly with our younger riders.
This two-hour e-bike safety class is designed for students grades 6-12 and is taught by League of American Bicyclists certified instructors.
Students will get on-bike practice with bike handling and emergency maneuvers before practicing street safety and rules of the road on a group ride around town.
MCBC’s Teens E-Bike Smart class will be at College of Marin, on Saturday, September 28 from 10 a.m. – 12 noon.
If you have any questions about Teens E-Bike Smart Classes, email zoe@marinbike.org.
