Clear the growth with the NPS trail crew! Help With Olema Valley Trail Clearing on Saturday, August 13

Olema Valley Trail is one of the few multi-use trails in the Point Reyes National Seashore and provides an alternative to Highway 1 south of Olema.  Following an unseasonably wet, post-drought winter, undergrowth and foliage have overwhelmed the trail.  Olema Valley Trail is now seriously overgrown and we’re calling on MCBC members to help get it cleared for use.

Join with the National Park Service trail crew, MCBC staff and other members on Saturday, August 13 as we push the vegetation off the trail and make it ridable once again. Loppers, hand saws and hedging tools will be supplied as well as gloves.

WHAT: Trail brushing day
WHERE:
Meet at the Pacific Coast Science & Learning Center on Hwy 1, between Olema and Dogtown and across from the Randall Trail. Carpools will be leaving from the Marin Museum of Bicycling in Fairfax at 8 AM
WHEN: Saturday, August 13 – Trail work: 9 am – 2 pm
