news Eldridge Grade Temporary Trail/Access Road Closure

The Eldridge Grade Fire Road, located on Mt. Tamalpais watershed lands south of the Bon Tempe Treatment Plant, sustained damage from a landslide in last winter’s storms. MMWD is prioritizing repairs on this road in order to stabilize the 30-inch Southern Marin Line Transmission pipeline under the road and restore the road to its pre-slide width.

The project will remove and dispose of landslide debris, and install a soil nail wall. Work began on November 3 of this year, and is expected to be completed January 2018.

The work will result in road closures around the construction zone. According to MMWD, every effort will be made to maintain access and connectivity during non-working hours.
