MCBC 2017 Advocacy Ride Series Pedal With MCBC at Novato Advocacy Ride Wednesday 2/22

After several low-key rollouts last year, MCBC will expand the Advocacy Ride Series for 2017 beginning with a February 22nd ride in Novato.

Any interested MCBC members are encouraged to join our Policy & Planning Director Bjorn Griepenburg for a ride linking several locations in Novato to discuss recent projects and upcoming efforts, including the SMART multi-use path and Caltrans Bike Plan.

MCBC continues to expand the dialogue about necessary bike infrastructure in Marin. On this no-drop loop, Bjorn will speak with other riders on planned steps towards the development of a bike network in Novato that is safe and appealing to people of all ages and abilities.

Attendees will have an opportunity to mingle over beers at Bicycle Brüstop after the ride.

About the 2017 MCBC Advocacy Ride Series

The 2017 Advocacy Ride Series will bring MCBC staff, members, agency staff, and elected officials together to discuss MCBC’s advocacy efforts around the County. In addition to building a stronger network within the MCBC community, rides will give our supporters a first-hand look into the work we’re doing to promote safe bicycling for everyday transportation and recreation.

We had a few lightly-publicized rides last year, and all the MCBC members and staff who participated enjoyed the opportunity and felt we should expand it this year.

Rides will alternate between our Road and Off-Road Programs; look for announcements in upcoming MCBC Bulletins, or check the MCBC Calendar, Facebook or @marinbike twitter feeds for announcements about our first trail ride in March!
