Attend Planning Meeting This Saturday Region 5 Road and Trail System Designation Workshop
Join MCBC this Saturday at the Region 5 Road and Trail Workshop in San Rafael. This will be your opportunity to help the Open Space District identify the best and most connected trails in Northern Marin.
This community workshop will focus on the formal road and trail designations included within Terra Linda/Sleepy Hollow, San Pedro Mountain, Santa Margarita Island, Santa Venetia Marsh, and Bald Hill.
Want to connect trails along the ridgeline between San Anselmo and Terra Linda, or on San Pedro Mountain? This workshop is for you!
In the workshop, Parks staff will review the following:
- Potential trail designations for Open Space Preserves in Region 5, including Terra Linda/Sleepy Hollow, San Pedro Mountain, Santa Margarita Island, Santa Venetia Marsh and Bald Hill.
- Baseline scores and criteria that are part of the next phase of the public process, which allow members of the public to suggest changes to the proposed designated trail system.
- The public proposal process, including application form and timelines, and how this will be integrated into the RTMP and yearly planning process.
- Natural resource surveys and assessments of Region 5.
This workshop is an opportunity to improve trail connectivity in Central Marin – we hope you’ll join us!
