Ride with Us! Join us for a group ride over the Richmond – San Rafael Bridge on Friday, May 6 at 7:30 a.m.
Start: SMART San Rafael Station
Distance: 18.2 miles
Time: Approximately 7:30 a.m to 10:00 a.m.
This medium-paced, moderate difficulty ride will start at the SMART San Rafael Station. Cruise along a combination of bike path and bike lane as we leave downtown. Then, we’ll go up and over the Richmond – San Rafael Bridge along bike/walk pathway. On the East Bay side, we will swing by the Point Richmond Fairy Houses. Afterwards, we’ll return over the bridge, to the SMART station. The ride will be led by MCBC staff/volunteers and is made possible by funding from the Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC). The official MTC ride will end once we return to the SMART San Rafael Station.
After the ride, MCBC ride leaders will stop for coffee in downtown San Rafael. Everyone is welcome to join the coffee stop (please note this is not part of the official MTC event). Please bring a bike lock and money for coffee/treats if you plan on sticking around after the ride.
All adults are welcome to participate. And, any youth under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. All riders must wear a helmet and have a working bicycle in order to participate.
