Join us for Wagon Wheel Volunteer Trail Day on February, 24 at Camp Tamaracho in Fairfax.
MCBC is teaming up with Marin County Parks and Access4Bikes on a volunteer trail day to care for Wagon Wheel Trail on the south side of Camp Tamarancho. We will meet at the Boy Scout Camp at the top of Iron Springs Road for a brief orientation and hike out to the trail.
Volunteer work is mildly strenuous and involves bending, pulling, and kneeling. Please dress in layers and wear sturdy shoes. Remember to bring a water bottle, snack, sunscreen, and hat. Adverse weather may cancel. Check your inbox on Friday evening if rain is in the forecast.
Meeting location: Camp Tamarancho, Iron Springs Fire Road Fairfax, CA 94930ATTENTION: The road into camp is closed to vehicles due to a landslide, but you can pass through the slide area on foot or bike. Please park in Fairfax and ride up Iron Springs Road to the ranger house and allow yourself time to arrive by 8:30 am. Please carpool if possible or ride to the center of Tamarancho.
Lunch will be provided. This event is eligible for NICA Trail Corps and community service hours. Click here for more information on MCBC’s Trails Stewards program.
