May 20 - 1 PM - Show Up & Celebrate! Central Marin Overcrossing Official Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

Yes, it’s open.  Yes, you might have already ridden over it.  But, Friday, May 20 at 1 PM is the Official Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for the Central Marin Ferry Connection Bridge.  Another hard-won link in the North-South Greenway!

Do whatever it takes to move your appointments and schedule a long lunch.  Then ride over to the north end of the bridge and join MCBC, Transportation Authority of Marin (TAM) and the supporting partner agencies to celebrate the opening of the Central Marin Ferry Connection Bicycle/Pedestrian Bridge over Sir Francis Drake Boulevard in Larkspur.

It will be a great opportunity to thank those involved, give a big “HURRAH!” and show how important this vital resource is to the future of Marin.  Bring some co-workers with you!

The new bridge provides a safe and convenient bicycle and pedestrian connection from San Rafael through the Cal Park Hill Tunnel path to the Larkspur Ferry Terminal and the Corte Madera Creek Path. It closes a critical gap in the North-South Greenway network and supports Marin County’s efforts to promote multi-modal transportation options, increase mobility, and promote active lifestyles.

The celebration will begin on the north side of the bridge above the Larkspur Landing Theater – 500 Larkspur Landing Circle, Larkspur.
