UPDATE: Due to low initial registration, we have been forced to cancel the 2016 Jane Fondo. If you already signed up, we can simply transfer your registration fee to the MCBC Dirt Fondo on August 31, 2016 – and we are organizing the same pro-rider guided format. If you are unable to ride on that date, please contact Tom Boss for refund of your fees.
We think the best way to honor Marin’s miles of bike legal trails is to ride them! There’s no better way to ride them than joining us at this popular all-day ride on Mt. Tamalpais. Though it’s tuned for ladies, it’s open to all riders. Registration is now open and spots are filling fast!
The Jane Fondo helps you meet and ride with other female mountain bikers in a supportive environment, while you experience the beautiful variety of terrain in a low-key social ride atmosphere, with all the perks of tech support and planned routes. At this event, there will be one ride leader for every 10 female riders. (Guys, you’re on your own!) Everyone will receive great goodie bags, filled with products from women-owned businesses.
The 2016 Jane Fondo shows off the diverse terrain and epic nature of our local riding, as we work to create more opportunities for the future. It’s a day of challenging routes, world-class views, great rest stop support and the legendary post-ride BBQ and party.
Riders roll out from downtown Fairfax at the Marin Museum of Bicycling and Mountain Bike Hall of Fame, cover their chosen loop and return for the post-ride festivities.
