Construction Starts June 13 - Detours & Equipment Ross-Kentfield Area Creek Path Project

Corte Madera Creek Path LimitsIf you’ve ever ridden north of College of Marin in Kentfield on the Corte Madera Creek path, you probably realized it had short lines of sight and several extremely narrow sections.  Beginning on Monday June 13, crews will be constructing a newly design on this existing pathway.

The result of this project will provide adequate width for users in both directions, as well as should areas to limit bicycle and pedestrian interactions.

It also includes accessibility improvements, including a new ramp at the northern end of the project.

The updated 10 foot wide path design will include removal of vegetation to accommodate new width of ground cover, bushes and trees.

There will be a detour during portions of the construction project – check back or follow MCBC on twitter and facebook for ongoing announcements.  We know there will be 5 consecutive weeks of path closure for heavy construction.  During the rest of the 10 week project, there may be temporary closure while equipment or materials are being moved.
