IMG_1026CALLING ALL VOLUNTEERS! National Trails Day is just around the corner on Saturday, June 4.

Have you registered for an event yet?

On June 4, join One Tam and its partners in celebrating National Trails Day! Since it was first created by the American Hiking Society in the 1980s, this day is an opportunity for everyone throughout the country to give back to the landscapes they love – be it a local park or national resource.

Since we are lucky to be able to so easily take to the trails of the Marin by tire, hoof, or foot, this day is a perfect chance to help maintain our these resources for years to come. Dust off the hiking boots, grab your family and friends, and join us for a day of fun, laughter, and trail restoration.

You can register to be part of the crew at one of these locations:

680 Trail – Marin County Parks Register >>
Join Marin County Parks, Marin County Bike Coalition, and Access for Bikes on the 680 Trail. Support the team in building drainage features, repairing eroded tread, and brushing the trail corridor.
Time: 9 am-1 pm
Details: Volunteers ages 12 and up are welcome. Project work will be moderately strenuous.

Bullfrog Trail – Marin Municipal Water District Register >>
Join Marin Municipal Water District and help maintain a redwood boardwalk, improve trail drainage, and prune vegetation on the Bullfrog Trail.
Time: 9 am-2 pm
Details: Volunteers ages 12 and up are welcome. Project work will be moderately strenuous.

Redwood Creek Trail – California State Parks Register >>
Join California State Park rangers and volunteers as we work on trail maintenance and clearing along the Redwood Creek Trail.
Time: 9 am-12:30 pm
Details: Volunteers ages 12 and up are welcome. Project work will be moderately strenuous.
