Pedestrian Improved Corte Madera Creek Path Reopened in Ross-Kentfield Area

Earlier this month and just in time for fall semester at College of Marin, the Marin County Department of Public Works completed and reopened an upgraded segment of the Corte Madera Creek Path between Kentfield Hospital and the College of Marin (highlighted in the map to the right).

The pathway, which links College of Marin and Kent Middle School to Ross, is a great off-street alternative to Kent/Poplar Avenue and Sir Francis Drake Boulevard, but may be one of the segments that few riders actually know about.

Those that did use the pathway may recall a bumpy, narrow pathway impeded by vegetation. Featuring a widened route and improved sight lines as featured in the photo above, the pathway has been cleared, widened, paved, and newly landscaped. Separated from traffic between Kentfield and Ross, this creates a great alternative route.  

Experience it first hand!  You can find the entrance through the north end of the college parking lot off of Kent Avenue, or by following the Corte Madera Creek path across College Avenue and through the campus.
