Two Dirt Fondos for 2017 MCBC Dirt Fondo Registration Filling Fast

Don’t delay – last year’s ride sold out!

Riders from all over have been signing up for the trail events of the year – the MCBC Dirt Fondo epic off-road rides! This year, we bring back the Solstice Fondo on Saturday, July 15. The MCBC Solstice Fondo begins and ends at the Marin Museum of Bicycling and Mountain Bike Hall of Fame in Fairfax. The challenging 39-mile route includes 680 Trail, Big Rock and a loop around Tamarancho.

Then on Sunday, August 27. the Dirt Fondo rolls out of the Marin Headlands with the traditional 45-mile route to Mt. Tam and back.

Both rides offer a multitude of shorter route options and incredible ride support, including many energizer stations, multiple ride leaders, sweeps and SAG.

And don’t forget the awesome after-ride BBQ, exclusive ride t-shirt and swag-filled goodie bags!

We’re also looking for some enthusiastic MCBC Event Volunteers – join the “team behind the scenes” at these rides.

As you know, proceeds help MCBC expand Marin’s network of bike legal trails, including over 20 miles of new trail projects and proposals coming on line starting THIS YEAR! To pull off such an epic ride, we depend upon the efforts of our amazing MCBC Volunteers!

That’s where you come in! We need people with pre-event and day-of-event Ride Packet Pick-up, Course Marshall tasks, Rest Stop Helpers, and Post-Ride Celebration efforts! You can learn all about it right here!

All MCBC Solstice Fondo Volunteers will receive an MCBC t-shirt to wear for the event and a tasty lunch at the post-ride BBQ. We look forward to seeing you at the event!
