Nominate Your Favorite Marin Business Nominations Open for 2017 Bike-Friendly Business Awards

Marin County Bicycle Coalition recognizes businesses that go above and beyond in encouraging their employees or customers to ride bikes. These 2017 Bike-Friendly Business Awards will spotlight the accomplishments of three Marin County companies, offering encouragement for others to follow their lead.

Bicycling to work can help enhance employee health, thereby lowering health care costs for their employer. There are many health benefits attributed to bike commuting, including improved cardiovascular health, better mental health, and stronger immune systems.

Local businesses benefit from  biking and pedestrian traffic, especially when the businesses are located near bike racks. Cyclists riding locally tend to frequent supportive retailers more often.

How to Nominate a Bike Friendly Business

MCBC is currently accepting nominations now through April 15. There are separate divisions for small, medium, and large business to be recognized. To be eligible, a business must be located in Marin County.
