Andersen Drive Detour in Place Through Spring

SMART rail construction on Andersen Drive in San Rafael will necessitate a round-the-clock closure of part of Andersen Drivefor the next three to four months. If you are biking between downtown San Rafael and Larkspur, the closure will force a slight detour onto Woodland Avenue or Francisco Boulevard West.

2nd to Andersen Pathway Set to Clear Final Hurdle

Construction of the 2nd to Andersen Pathway in San Rafael could commence as early as this June following an eleventh-hour effort from the Transportation Authority of Marin (TAM), City of San Rafael, and County of Marin to cover a $3.5M shortfall.

County of Marin Releases Alto Tunnel Cost Estimate

This Tuesday, the County of Marin  released the Alto Tunnel Investigation and Cost Estimate Update, signaling the completion of several years of information-gathering on the long-shuttered tunnel. “MCBC is delighted that this day has finally come,” said Executive Director Jim Elias. “With detailed cost estimates in hand, we now know what it will take to close the last significant gap in the North-South Greenway.”

Free MCBC Valet Helps Open SMART Service

SMART’s long-awaited passenger service began on August 25 when the first train departed from Sonoma. MCBC’s awesome Valet Bike Parking team was on hand keeping bikes safe and secure, while also explaining how bikes get onto the train.
