Smart Cycling classes help you learn the basics of riding your bicycle on the street to become a safe, courteous, and confident rider. Join us for Smart Cycling September 2025 on Zoom on Thursday, September 11th, from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m.
Cyclists are the most vulnerable users of public roads; this class will teach you how to ride and drive defensively and avoid road rage behaviors. These classes also allow a bicycle traffic citation fee reduction through class attendance. Join the next Smart Cycling class, offered quarterly online via Zoom.
Smart Cycling is for anyone wishing to learn more about the rules of the road and how to ride safely. If you received a citation/infraction on a bicycle that is a “California Vehicle Code violation,” you are permitted by the Marin County Superior Court to attend a Smart Cycling class. You must contact the Court and pay your full fine before registering for a class. More info about MCBC’s Smart Cycling class.
